Assessment Products
Apart from Assessment Centres for various internal purposes, we also offer the following Assessment Products.
Assessment Centres for Selection. A pre-packaged product of Assessment Centre customised specially for campus selection, which can also be used for other in-house selection. The package includes common competencies, concise exercises and training in the use. The Assessment Centre can be typically run by two people and has a throughput of approximately 15 – 20 people per day. It includes:
-
A Manual for Assessors, which has common competencies and their definitions, exercises and the instructions for their use.
-
A video for the training of assessors.
-
A training program for the training of assessors.
Standalone Assessment Centres. Specially meant for executives who want to know their level of competency in order to develop themselves and for small organisations. This package includes a set of competencies that are common across organisations, a set of exercises for assessing these. The Assessment Centre is conducted by two of our trained and experienced assessors and lasts for two days. The participants are given immediate verbal feedback as well as a detailed written feedback report. All this is at a highly discounted price for individuals.
Assessors’ Training Program. Many organisations now recognise the effectiveness of employing modern assessment techniques. Group discussions, role-play exercises, and negotiation simulations are used alongside traditional assessment techniques, such as the interview, in order to inform selection and development decisions. These assessment exercises only reach their maximum level of effectiveness when trained assessors are used to observe the behaviours the exercises are designed to elicit. Trained assessors understand what behaviours to look for and how to recognise them: they employ techniques to deal with the wealth of information these exercises generate and make detailed assessments of the individuals they observe.
We have designed a five-day program for training of assessors with the following aims:
-
To enable course delegates to effectively assess individuals.
-
To familiarise delegates with a range of assessment exercises and techniques.
-
To separate the process from the content of observed behaviours.
-
To focus on making objective and accurate assessments of individuals.
-
To avoid error in assessment.
-
To write clear and concise reports detailing the behaviour observed. This is extremely important in the context of writing Performance Appraisal Reports too.
The Assessors’ Training Programoffers certification as Associate Assessors to participants, who meet the requisite standards during the program.
Competency-based Interviewing Skills Training Program. The interview assumes a central role in most selection processes. Course delegates are coached in skills based on concrete interview research allowing them to reach informed and rational decisions about the individuals they interview. They acquire valuable techniques for eliciting the information and evidence from candidates that is vital when making a selection decision. The course also focuses on the messages that the interview conveys to the candidate about your organisation, allowing you to attract the most effective individuals into the job.
The program is designed to focus on competency-based interviewing and aims at training participants:
-
To conduct effective interviews.
-
To elicit essential information from candidates that is necessary when making informed selection decisions.
-
To reduce errors in decision-making associated with traditional interviews.
-
To convey appropriate messages about your organisation through interviews
